- Was a stringer for Cinema Minima for the Edinburgh International Film Festival and Dead by Dawn (Horror film festival in Edinburgh).
- Volunteer Coordinator for Dallas VideoFest. This role is in both senses of the title: Both a volunteer that is a coordinator and a coordinator of volunteers.
Other random Geeky / Legal projects
- In 2007-2008 produced and maintained the Personality Rights Database, a resource on law in many different jurisdictions around personality rights, for the AHRC Research Centre for Studies in Intellectual Property and Technology Law. You can see it on the Wayback Machine.
- Supported with Open Knowledge Foundation’s work with COMMUNIA.
- Presented on anime and fansubs at the very first Gikii in Edinburgh.
- Various blogs over the years that have mostly disappeared, but can be found on the Wayback Machine. Including
- A blog about the use of Macs in law practice called “laptoplegal” for a few years in the noughties. Started using Macs in a law office setting on an iMac g4 back in 2004!
